This is the true story of an undercover investigator's experiences infiltrating the multi-billion-dollar global sex industry. It is a story of triumph for the children and young teens released from a life of slavery and the rescuer who freed many hundreds of victims leading to the prosecution of dozens of perpetrators. And it is a story of haunting despair for those left behind in corrupt systems of law enforcement. It is the personal story of Daniel Walker, one man who followed a path of costly discipleship, agonizing failure and unlikely redemption. And it is a challenge to God's people to join in the battle that all might be freed.

About the author;

Daniel Walker is a Detective in the New Zealand Police and has twenty years experience as a criminal investigator. He holds a Masters Degree in Third World Development from Eastern University in Pennsylvania, focusing particularly on the exploitation of women and children.

For four years Daniel worked exclusively on the international arena investigating the sexual exploitation and trafficking of women and children in more than a dozen countries, including the USA. Working on a covert basis Daniel became adept at infiltrating the organized criminal networks responsible for the trafficking of women and children into the global multi billion-dollar commercial sex industry. His efforts resulted in the rescue of many hundreds of victims as well as the successful prosecution of many perpetrators.

Daniel facilitated the international cooperation and diplomacy necessary to successfully combat international sex trafficking and has established lasting partnerships with law enforcement agencies around the world. His ability to move between vastly different languages and cultural groups and operate successfully in a variety of different theatres and environments, each with their own nuances and etiquette, has earned him the respect of his peers and colleagues. His work has been cited in numerous local publications as well as internationally in both books and television documentaries.

Daniel Walker has recently written a book about his experiences. God in a Brothel has been described as, “A behind the scenes, personal plotline of raw courage, agonizing failure, and unlikely redemption. Set against a thrilling backdrop of clandestine missions is the humbling story of a man who set out to follow God but ultimately ended up in hell. The book is a jaw-dropping primer on modern day human trafficking—its root causes, the matrix of crime and poverty that perpetuates it, and its harrowing impact upon millions of victims. It culminates with a bold yet practical challenge to join the movement against human sex trafficking and provides realistic warnings from an expert about the costs involved.”

Mr. Walker is the founder of Nvader, an organization dedicated to effectively combating human trafficking around the world. For more information please visit www.nvader.org
